General TERMS
All gecko sales are final, with no exceptions. Only order if you are 100% sure you have done your research and can afford to care for your new gecko properly (including healthcare issues that can arise as a result of keeping a living reptile).
Royal Geckos Canada reserves the right to refuse a sale for any reason. Royal Geckos Canada does not sell any geckos we deem to be sick or have health issues. Royal Geckos Canada does not buy back, adopt, take in, or re-home any geckos that are sick, unwanted, or not cared for properly. If you cannot afford to keep your gecko healthy, please surrender it to an animal shelter or reptile rescue.
Live Arrival Guarantee is within Canada Only. International orders do NOT come with a Live Arrival Guarantee. Shipping is at the buyer’s own risk.
After purchasing a gecko(s) from Royal Geckos Canada and the gecko is now in your (the buyer’s) physical possession, you (the buyer) agree to and are now solely responsible for the care, health, quality of life, and well-being of the gecko(s) you’ve purchased.
When the gecko(s) has been given to and is in physical possession of the buyer, the buyer (you) agrees to and assumes all responsibility for the health, care, and well-being of the gecko(s) including any and all veterinarian bills, medications, medical devices & all other related expenses that may arise as a result of keeping a live reptile. As geckos (and all living organisms) age, health conditions can arise (which is common with any living organism). The buyer agrees to and assumes all responsibility to have the funds necessary to care for their reptiles in the event a healthcare-related issue arises.
Pro Tip: Royal Geckos Canada recommends putting a small amount of funds aside each month, and setting up an emergency account, in the event your gecko(s) do need a trip to the veterinarian.

Responsibility TERMS
After purchasing a gecko(s) from Royal Geckos Canada and the gecko is now in your (the buyer’s) physical possession, you (the buyer) agree to and are now solely responsible for the care, health, quality of life, and well-being of the gecko(s) you’ve purchased.
When the gecko(s) has been given to and is in physical possession of the buyer, the buyer agrees to and assumes all responsibility for the health, care, and well-being of the gecko(s) including any and all veterinarian bills, medications, medical devices & all other related expenses that may arise as a result of keeping a live reptile. Payment TERMS
Royal Geckos Canada requires a 50% non-refundable deposit of the total cost for any gecko(s) upfront. This will place the gecko(s) of the buyer’s choice “Reserved” for 30 days and other potential buyers will not be able to purchase them.
Once a 50% deposit (or payment in full) has been sent, Royal Geckos Canada will send a confirmation that payment has been received.
The buyer agrees to and must pay the remaining 50% of the balance within 30 days of the first payment.
If the total balance has not been paid by 11:59 PM EST on the 30th day of the hold period, the buyer agrees to the condition that the gecko(s) will be removed from hold status and made available for purchase again. (For more info please review our reservation agreement below).
Shipping: If the buyer requests any gecko(s) to be shipped, the buyer agrees to pay the shipping fee in full (100%) prior to shipping out. (Price of Gecko(s) + Shipping Fee).

Shipping TERMS
If the buyer requests any gecko(s) to be shipped, the buyer agrees to pay the shipping fee in full (100%) prior to shipping out. (Price of Gecko(s) + Shipping Fee).
The buyer agrees to and is responsible for shipping and all associated fees.
Royal Geckos Canada uses Reptile Express to ship Domestically & Internationally.
When a buyer inquires about any gecko(s) to purchase, Royal Geckos Canada automatically asks for the buyer’s address to process a shipping quote & shipping date with Reptile Express. If shipping is not needed Royal Geckos Canada disregards/discards the address the buyer entered.
On the date the buyer’s gecko(s) is/are scheduled to arrive, the buyer agrees to be available at the location on the shipping label, to receive the package.
Royal Geckos Canada is not responsible for any delays, injuries, or deaths to any gecko(s) once any gecko(s) have left our possession and are in the hands of the shipping service.
Geckos left outside in the package for longer than 30 minutes may result in death.

Pickup TERMS
All payments must be made prior to pickup. We do not “show and sell” on the spot, meaning all geckos must be purchased and paid for prior to the agreed-upon pickup date.
Local Pickups are free of charge and can be arranged within the Greater Toronto Area.
After any gecko(s) are purchased, Royal Geckos Canada will discuss and schedule a date, time, and location for pickup, should a buyer request a local pickup.
On the date of the arranged pickup, if another person other than the buyer indicates they can receive the gecko(s) on behalf of the buyer themselves, Royal Geckos Canada is not responsible for any injuries, damages, deaths, or loss of the gecko(s) that may occur as a result. No refunds will be given in the event this occurs.

Delivery TERMS
All payments must be made prior to Delivery. We do not “show and sell” on the spot, meaning all geckos must be purchased and paid for prior to the agreed-upon delivery date.
Royal Geckos Canada can deliver geckos up to 1 hour away from Toronto.
Local Delivery fees are determined on a case-by-case basis and are discussed, arranged, and must be paid for prior to delivery.
Delivery fees must be paid prior to delivery. No Exceptions.
After any gecko(s) are purchased, Royal Geckos Canada will discuss and schedule a date, time, and location for delivery.
If the buyer provides us with the wrong address to deliver to, and Royal Geckos Canada arrives at the given address, Royal Geckos Canada will not travel to another destination and reserves the right to drive back to our facility with any gecko(s) and place them from “Sold” status to “Available” again. No refunds will be given in the event this occurs.
If the buyer provides us with the correct address to deliver to, and Royal Geckos Canada arrives at the given address while the buyer is not home OR the buyer does not respond to our attempts of communication notifying them of our arrival, Royal Geckos Canada reserves the right to drive back to our facility with any gecko(s) and place them from “Sold” status to “Available” again. No refunds will be given in the event this occurs.
If the buyer provides us with the correct address to deliver to, and Royal Geckos Canada arrives at the given address and another person other than the buyer indicates they can receive the gecko(s) on behalf of the buyer themselves, Royal Geckos Canada is not responsible for any injuries, damages, deaths or loss of the gecko(s) that may occur as a result. No refunds will be given in the event this occurs.

Live Arrival TERMS
Royal Geckos Canada offers a Live Arrival Guarantee in Canada Only.
International orders do not come with a Live Arrival Guarantee. Shipping is at the buyer’s (your) own risk.
Live arrival (Canada Only) can only be guaranteed when temperatures are between 40°F (overnight low) and 85°F (daytime high).
If any gecko(s) need(s) to be held for appropriate shipping weather, Royal Geckos Canada will hold them free of charge.
If the weather decides to change and we have to wait for better shipping weather, Royal Geckos Canada will not issue refunds.
Royal Geckos Canada is not responsible for any changing weather conditions.
Royal Geckos Canada cannot control if a shipper experiences delays during the shipping process which results in the buyer’s shipment arriving later than scheduled.
In the event a shipper has a delay while a shipment is in transit, Royal Geckos Canada will not issue a refund on shipping costs.
In the unlikely event, a gecko is DOA (Dead On Arrival), the buyer must contact Royal Geckos Canada within 1 hour of delivery for further direction.
The buyer must provide the following to us:
One (1) Image of the deceased gecko.
One (1) Image of the included Certificate of Identification.

Do not discard the deceased gecko until directed to do so by Royal Geckos Canada Failure to do so will result in zero (0) resolution.

Tail Drop TERMS
Geckos can drop their tails, often at random for no reason.
Royal Geckos Canada is not responsible for tails dropped during shipping or delivery or while under our care (if you’ve reserved a gecko).
Royal Geckos Canada will not issue refunds for dropped tails.

Gecko Gender TERMS
New Caledonian Geckos: Crested Geckos, Gargoyle Geckos, Chahoua Geckos, Leachianus Geckos.
Geckos posted as Male or Female are guaranteed to be that specific gender. Male geckos will develop pores in a straight line and develop a pronounced bulge on the underside of where the tail begins. Female geckos will not develop a bulge and will not develop pronounced pores, although some have been reported to develop a small number of pores.
Geckos posted as “Possible Male” or “Possible Female”, means Royal Geckos Canada has identified their gender and has either seen what look like pores (Possible Male) or has not seen pronounced pores (Possible Female).
Gender is not guaranteed for gecko(s) posted as “Possible Male” or “Possible Female” as the technique Royal Geckos Canada uses (known as louping) is not 100% accurate. This classification of “Possible Male” or “Possible Female” is provided to buyers so they can make an informed decision about whether or not they would like to purchase any gecko(s) without a guaranteed gender.
Geckos posted as “Undetermined” are either too young to identify their gender or other specific limitations are preventing Royal Geckos Canada from accurately checking for gender (dark pattern).
Geckos that have been paid for and reserved will not have a gender re-check at any point prior to Royal Geckos Canada shipping the gecko out.

Certificate TERMS
All geckos produced by Royal Geckos Canada will come with a certificate of identity. (Wholesale orders excluded)
The Certificate of Identity is unique to every gecko as it outlines the species, the species ID code, the morph of the species, date of birth, gender, sire and dam lineage. Our certificates have a unique look to them and are designed by us in-house. They are sealed with a gold stamp of quality to ensure the uniqueness, quality and rarity of your gecko(s).
Royal Geckos Canada does not provide certificates for other geckos that we may sell that are not produced by us.
Your certificate is important as it identifies your geckos lineage, date of birth and morph & is extremely integral to ensuring the quality, uniqueness, and rarity of your gecko if used for breeding purposes.

Proven Breeder TERMS
Gecko’s posted as “Proven” have produced eggs and offspring for Royal Geckos Canada in the past. Essentially they have “Proven” themselves capable of being breeders.
